I wanted something warm and wet for dinner because of the continuous rain on 10 Jan 2025. I decided to try this porridge stall at Westgate and ordered the claypot oyster set.
The porridge was really good and could be eaten on its own without anything else. The claypot oyster was quite disappointing, especially compared to the menu picture (though I know most food places state their photos are for illustrative purposes only).
I would come back for their porridge.

Hearty meal that warms you from the inside ❤️ Their congee is the ultimate comfort food!
Highly recommend their Live Crab Congee! We were hooked from the first bite. The collagen-rich congee has such an amazing texture. It’s smooth and silky, flavourful, and gets even better with the fresh crab, which adds a rich umami flavor to each spoonful.
We also tried the Gan Xiang Lala Claypot. It's spicy and goes very well with the congee! Being a local favourite, the Poached Chicken is tender and savoury, and would be perfect with a bowl of rice!

Chee Keong Chan
One of the most delicious Cantonese porridges I've tried—flavourful, thick and smooth. The mixed pork was a little expensive, but the ingredients (especially the livers) were fresh and in generous portions. There were lots of tables, which were clean and spacious.

Second time here, both the minced pork porridge and ma you chicken porridge were flavourful and delicious. The porridge is a watery, smooth type, cooked until very soft – almost drinkable. However, what I thought was 'ma you chicken' turned out to be ma you porridge with chicken, and the chicken itself wasn't ma you flavored. Despite that, it's still delicious. I preferred the minced meat one of the two I tried. I will still consider visiting to try other flavors since we live nearby.
The ma you chicken porridge is $8.60 on its own, without a set meal. So it's more expensive than a hawker center or kopitiam, and the environment is not restaurant-style. I managed to get a Fave discount of $3 off the bill, though.
If you're paying full price and expecting an air-conditioned environment, it's very hot here. I was sweating; my 6-year-old son, who wasn't even eating, also said it was so hot, and the person beside me was also using her portable fan. It was a Saturday lunchtime, so I'm not sure if it was due to too many people from Si Jia Ke (China supermarket) making it stuffy, or if it's always this stuffy. Hence, the 4-star rating. One of the best porridge places. Must try.
The signature porridge is value for money, and the chicken serving size is huge.
Porridge is made hot upon order, and ingredients are fresh.
Highly recommended.
