Läderach is a prestigious Swiss chocolate brand founded in 1962 in Glarus, Switzerland by Rudolf Läderach, representing over 60 years of exceptional chocolate craftsmanship as a third-generation family business. Rudolf Läderach revolutionized the fine chocolate industry with his patent for manufacturing hollow, ready-made chocolate truffles, establishing the foundation for what would become Switzerland's largest chocolate retailer with approximately 1,000 employees and over 100 stores across five continents. The brand's commitment to excellence was further recognized in 2018 when Elias Läderach became the first Swiss chocolatier to win the prestigious World Chocolate Masters, cementing their reputation as innovators in premium chocolate manufacturing and artisanal confectionery.
The cornerstone of Läderach's success lies in their signature FrischSchoggi™ (Fresh Chocolate), meaning "Fresh Chocolate" in Swiss German, which represents their most popular offering manufactured fresh daily and delivered to stores within days for maximum freshness. Over 20 classic varieties are displayed in large slabs at open counters and broken into individual pieces by hand, showcasing the marriage of fresh Swiss chocolate with carefully sourced quality ingredients. Their comprehensive product range includes more than 80 different pralines and truffles, confectionery specialties, exquisite milk and Grand Cru chocolate, and airy mini mousses, all crafted using premium ingredients including Swiss cow milk, California almonds, Italian Piedmont hazelnuts, and Swiss honey, ensuring every piece meets the highest standards of Swiss chocolate excellence.
What sets Läderach apart is their complete bean-to-bar control, being one of the few chocolate manufacturers monitoring the entire production process from cocoa bean to shop counter, with all chocolate manufactured in Switzerland in the canton of Glarus. Located at Level 1, #01-10 Westgate Mall, the store features elegant wood paneling and warm brass finishing, creating an inviting atmosphere where chocolates are airflown from Switzerland to Singapore for maximum freshness. The liquid chocolate is transported while still warm from their production facility to ensure optimal quality, while their comprehensive selection includes FrischSchoggi, pralines, truffles, and specially curated gift packages, making Läderach Westgate the ultimate destination for discerning chocolate connoisseurs seeking authentic Swiss artisanal confectionery that embodies decades of family tradition and innovative craftsmanship.

Service staff was checking her mobile phone while m in the q waiting at the counter for orders. Skinny and fair long hair service staff was rude w her tone when I asked to weigh separate pack of 100g and 500g of Dubai chocolate, her tone was - rude and asked - “u want to pay together right” and gave a rude look and tone which totally threw me off. Will never visit this shop again. At west gate. Taka service staff was so much better.

One of the better Swiss chocolate and probably more known for the chocolate variations that are displayed as sold as big slabs instead of the usual prepackaged in box or plastic bag. Their chocolate is nice and not too sweet but it's pricey. You can buy pieces by weight. Nice displays. I prefer Sprungli but they are not available in Singapore.

Had the Brazil dark chocolate. It’s a little sour at the beginning taste. The end taste is bitter and a little sweetness. Interesting taste note to be. The Christmas packaging with a cute ribbon. The outlet displayed all the boxes neatly and with interesting Christmas tree decorations. Will be good if they have sample for trying to decide the most suitable flavours.

Kudos to the amazing customer service of this tall bespectacled lady with a bob hair cut. She is so warm and patient, and is able to share the flavour profiles of the chocolates so well. I got their limited edition apple and nut milk chocolate and it was so good. 😍 Bought the 50g piece which cost me about $13+.
