85 Redhill Teochew Fishball Noodles represents a treasured culinary legacy that spans over three decades, tracing its roots back to a humble Teochew fishball noodle stall operated in Redhill by the grandfather of current Fei Siong Group directors, Mr. Tan Kim Siong and Mr. Tan Kim Leng. This family recipe, carefully preserved and passed down through generations, embodies the authentic flavors and traditional techniques of Teochew cuisine. The restaurant has successfully evolved from a single street-side stall into a respected chain with seven locations across Singapore, including their prominent outlet at Westgate Mall, while maintaining the nostalgic essence and time-honored preparation methods that define genuine Teochew-style fishball noodles.
The restaurant's commitment to authenticity is evident in their meticulous ingredient selection and preparation methods. 85 Redhill exclusively uses 100% yellowtail fish meat as the primary ingredient for their handmade fishballs, fish cakes, and specialty meatballs, ensuring the characteristic light, bouncy texture and dense, robust flavors that distinguish authentic Teochew fishballs. Their signature meatballs represent a masterful blend of yellowtail fish paste, minced pork, and chopped preserved winter vegetables (dongcai), creating a unique flavor profile that pays homage to traditional Teochew culinary techniques. The menu features their renowned Signature 85 Fishball Noodles, available in both soup and dry preparations with mee pok noodles, complemented by fish dumplings and other popular offerings.
Located at Westgate Mall (#B2-K13 to K14), 85 Redhill Teochew Fishball Noodles operates daily from 10am to 8:30pm, providing shoppers and diners with convenient access to authentic Teochew cuisine in a modern mall setting. The restaurant successfully bridges traditional heritage with contemporary accessibility, offering hearty, wholesome meals at reasonable prices typically under SGD 10, making authentic fishball noodles approachable for cost-conscious diners. The generous portions, combined with the restaurant's commitment to preserving nostalgic flavors while adapting to modern dining preferences, has established 85 Redhill as a beloved destination for both Teochew cuisine enthusiasts and casual diners seeking quality comfort food in Singapore's competitive culinary landscape.
I used to like this place but i went yday and the portion of mee pok become so little. Inflation happens i know but a bit drastic of what i had. See before and after. Before is porcelain bowl, so full in the bowl and yday is the red bowl- one small lump and theres no pork lard anymore. One of the fishball is not fresh has a sour taste. I threw it away. Whyyyy standard dropped? Sad.

Absolutely horrendous. I patronise Nam Kee's outlet at Plaza Singapure since 2018 but happened to be in Jurong and was craving a familiar taste. Absolutely horrendous, tasted lacklustre, switched out to a hard-boiled egg eventhough the menu clearly shows a sunny side up and the JUMBO pork cutlet is way off the usual quantity. Lime juice was basically water with a scent of lime. Please refer to images. Please stay away from this outlet.

Serving size is extremely small. Eat already machiam like never eat like that. Costs $5.20. Taste wise is good, just wish it contained twice as much noodles.

Ordered the value set for $8.00. The pork noodle was acceptable taste wise, not too oily and well cooked. The fish cake seems a bit starchy, however not bad in taste. Overall still value for money with drink included.

Came here for lunch around 1pm, the place was quite crowded. We managed to arrive earlier and got ourselves a table.
Wanted to order Chilli Ban Mian, but they said No Stock. So we ordered Bak Chor Mee Dry. You have to pay at the counter first, then bring over the receipt to the staff at the cooking station. Informed him what type of noodles you want, and whether you want or without chilli.
We have to wait in line, but the waiting was not too long. The sauce for my Bak Chor Mee was a bit way too sweet, I could taste the ketchup was too much causing it to be sweet & salty. Noodles was springy, a bit of minced meat, few lean pork slices, 2 bouncy meat balls & braised mushrooms.
