Green Delights is a halal-certified Chinese food establishment strategically located at #B2-K15/16 in the basement food court of Westgate Mall, operating daily from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The restaurant specializes in healthy Chinese cuisine, particularly focusing on traditional comfort foods with a halal twist, making it one of the few halal Chinese food options available in Westgate Mall. With MUIS certification ensuring authentic halal compliance, Green Delights has successfully positioned itself as a health-conscious dining option within the mall's food court setting, overcoming challenges including false rumors about their halal status in 2018 by maintaining transparency about their certification and commitment to serving the Muslim community with quality Chinese cuisine.
The restaurant's signature offerings center around their renowned Yong Tau Foo varieties, available in regular and fried preparations, which have become their most popular items among customers. Their highly praised Laksa Yong Tau Foo and customer-favorite Mala Yong Tau Foo showcase innovative fusion flavors that combine traditional Chinese cooking techniques with Malaysian and Singaporean taste preferences. Additional menu items include Ban Mian (flat noodle soup), fried rice, tomato soup noodle, and various beverages and soups, all priced affordably around $5 per dish. The generous portions and authentic flavors have earned consistent customer praise, with the restaurant maintaining a Google rating of 3.9/5, particularly for their specialty yong tau foo varieties that deliver satisfying, wholesome meals.
What makes Green Delights unique is its combination of halal certification with authentic Chinese flavors, creating an inclusive dining experience that serves both Muslim customers and food enthusiasts seeking quality comfort food. Customer reviews consistently highlight the reasonable pricing, generous portions, efficient service, and authentic taste that sets them apart from typical food court offerings. While operating in a typical food court environment with limited seating during peak hours and some challenges with cashless payment options, the establishment remains popular for its prompt service and commitment to maintaining both halal standards and traditional Chinese cooking methods, making it a valuable dining destination for diverse communities seeking accessible, quality Chinese cuisine in Singapore's competitive food landscape.
Ive patronised this place since i started living in B.Batok & idk WHY i hvnt ever written a proper review on them. This is my go-to solo eat. I major love the Tom Yum YTF, it's got a great blend of the holy trinity of what mks tom yum yummy.- spice, hot & sour. Everytime i order this, i get all puffy & hot not cos it's so spicy but it's jz got a perfect Zing to it! I used to always patronise Jason YTF (Arab st) for their Tom yum YTF but i think Jason's tom yum YTF itself is sitting on the fence on whether they wana be tom yum (bland) or TOM YUMMY. The dining place is small tho - avoid 1215pm to 1pm, that's when the lunchtime crowd hits. The other downside is that they dont fry some of the ytf pieces, all of it is dropped into the bowl w your soup. Other than that, their dishes are a HIT!

A halal mala cuisine at Westgate basement. The Mala hotpot is tasty. Other recommendation would be the fried rice, big portion & lots ingredients inside. The staff are friendly. Food is reasonable price. We've been patronizing this stall for quite some time. A recommended place for halal mala hotpot π

The laksa Yong Tau Foo is delicious. Price is reasonable. Normal food court ambience. But limited seats, so go to be there at the right timing. Lunch time, hard to get seats. π

The laksa and tom yum soup were both delicious! The taste was quite unique, especially the tom yum soup. I wish there were more options for Yong tau fu but the soup taste more than makes up for this!

Not sure whatβs with the low ratings but as a halal establishment the Ban Mian soup was definitely above average and was as good or even better than the real deal, dried Mala with Yong Tau Foo ingredients packed a punch too.
Staff at the counter were also surprisingly friendly and welcoming as well
Overall will definitely drop by again ππ»ππ»
