Waited in front of the counter for 5 minutes while the lady with a tattoo was preparing the cakes to display. She pretended not to notice me when I was right in front of her, and instead moved away to attend to another customer who entered later.

I seldom write Google reviews. I went to the Westgate branch today, and I'm writing this specifically to praise the spectacled chubby girl for her great service. I was in a dilemma about which birthday cake to buy. She was patient enough to recommend, coming back and forth to check on me (I was on the phone discussing with my family). Thumbs up to her! 😊 The peach fresh cream cake tasted great, and the peaches were sweet. My whole family loved it! 😋 P.S. Those were our own numbered candles, FYI.

I was not informed that a plastic bag cost an additional $0.05, which I'd gladly pay for. It was only when I asked the staff after paying for my cake that she mentioned I needed to pay $0.05 for the bag. However, I had no cash on me, so she simply pushed the cake towards me and proceeded to assist the next customer. She then proceeded to ask the next customer if she needed a bag. I had to carry the cake by its tiny handle all the way back home, risking the cake toppling. Will not visit this branch anymore.

I bought a chocolate cake and told the staff that I wanted a "Happy Birthday" chocolate piece with a name on it. The staff then told me that they only had two people working and therefore couldn't help me write it. I understand that there is a lack of staff, but instead of rejecting my request, perhaps she could have just asked me to wait a short while while she served the customer behind me first?
I am very disappointed with this kind of service when I'm paying over $30 for a cake.

I'm always a big fan of the cakes at Chateraise. My family loves their cakes and pastries, and we never fail to buy them for almost every occasion. They offer many different varieties and flavors: from chocolate to tiramisu, fruity, and fresh cream cakes. The staff here are also friendly and always welcoming!
