Good, comforting food served with fiery sambal. If you don't fancy the sambal that comes with the dish, there's a a condiment station where other sambals are served - sambal belacan, sambal ijo, sambal kicap. There's also treacly soy sauce that can be mixed with rice to cut the heat of the sambal. I personally love the shredded duck, but it can be a hit and miss on some days. The accompanying tempe, tau kwa, cucumber, tomato and blanched kangkong are barely enough - I get that some patrons may not finish these sides and will end up being wasted if larger portion is being served.

I ordered the signature Bebek Goreng (Original Crispy Fried Duck), and additional Crackers. Duck is tender and skin is crunchy as expected. The chilli is good spicy! Sweet soy sauce is unlimited self-service. One issue I have is the relatively small amount of rice; I think more rice would have elevated the experience more. Crackers are generously presented (which end up helping with my hunger of more rice) and taste awesome too!

I dont like to give low rating but, im really sorry, the shredded fried chicken is not nice. As you can see in the picture, chicken come REALLLYYYY dry. Hard to chew, no juice anymore. It looks like had been fried many many many times, maybe leftover chicken from previous days being fried again. Not enjoyed to eat. Plus, i have sore throat after eating the chicken ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ its been few days and its suffering me. If you cant get profit from selling it, then can increase the price abit. Omg..
Sambal is awesome.
My boyfriend said grilled chicken is perfect. Juicy and tasty. Recommend to order the grilled one instead of fried one. Love the akak with short hair, served us so friendly.

I don’t usually go for Indo food but the food here tasted really similar to the ones I’ve tried in Batam previously.
The Ayam penyet was good but meat was slightly on the drier side!
I think the beef bakso soup was really nice, very decent dinner spot if you’re craving Indonesian cuisine!

Regretably inedible fried chicken in the Ayam Penyet, though the grilled chicken set was okay. Good selection of chili with real spice kick, but will not be back unfortunately.
