Was recommended to give this place a try and it was amazing!
The place is a small unit, they have recently renovated to accommodate their partnering restaurant Buta Kizoku.
Gochi-So mainly serves Katsu with rice. They have rice set and don and curry rice options. They also serves some steak items and side items. I highly recommend to go for the set with the meat and oyster katsu with crab croquette so that you can have the best of all worlds. Their katsu items are light and crunchy and not oily at all. The oyster is so fresh even after deep frying and the croquette is so creamy and flavourful.
Most importantly the food is really affordable for the quality and quantity!
Apart from the food, the service was great too! The auntie that served us was friendly and patience with us when we cant remember what we ordered. We asked if we could order the food from Buta Kizoku to try and have it served and it was allowed. So we get to try both the old and new place!
Had an enjoyable meal and would definitely be back again!

Japanese set meal <$11 🇯🇵🥢
Limited time promo ✨ From now till 30 April, enjoy a satisfying set meal featuring duroc loin katsu with japanese rice, cabbage salad and miso soup for only $10.90 🍚‼️
🌟 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗰 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝘀𝘂 𝗦𝗲𝘁 ($𝟭𝟬.𝟵𝟬)
This isn’t your everyday tonkatsu—it's 50% thicker and packed with crunch. I couldn’t resist the option to upgrade with the melt-in-mouth Iberico black char siew (+$2), which seriously elevated the experience 🥹🫶
🌟 𝗜𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗼 𝗝𝗼𝘄𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗻 ($𝟭𝟱.𝟵𝟬)
My all-time favourite dish here 🐽 Using only finest grade of Japan binchotan charcoal to retain the natural flavour of the Iberico pork, the chef-recommended Iberico jowl is tender & satisfying ✨
Overall, a hearty meal that’s value-for-money!

The succulent and tender sliced pork cheek has a distinct smoky-charcoal grilled flavour and a wonderfully almost melt-in-your-mouth texture with an onsen egg that has a perfectly runny yolk.
